SUNSET DENTAL OWNERS
Zak Spaniol – CMO
Finding solutions and building relationships are the blocks Zak Spaniol has used to build his business and his life on. Prior to working in the dental technology field, Spaniol worked in the networking and system integration field. Spaniol has many years of engineering experience with most of those years focused exclusively on engineering solutions to meet the needs of dental practices.
He founded Sunset Dental Technologies when he heard about a widespread problem among dental practices: there wasn’t one team that practices could go to for all of the hardware and software solutions. He solved that problem by creating Sunset Dental Technologies, a one-stop shop that takes care of software and hardware needs in the dental world.
Brad Kerr – CFO
It’s the potential for improvement in the field of dental technology that has kept Kerr in dental technologies for more than twelve years. When he first struck out on his own in 2005 with Kerr Technology Solutions, it was because he saw problems in the industry he felt he could solve. At that time, some companies sold hardware for offices and others sold software. Without a company willing to integrate the two and take ownership of problems, dental offices were not being served as well as they could be. In 2008 he merged Kerr Technology Solutions with Sunset Dental Technologies.
Kerr’s favorite part of working with clients is being able to empower them by helping them recognize that technology must work for them. He’s happy to do whatever it takes to solve any technology problem a dental office faces.
Alex Karchevsky – CIO
When Alex Karchevsky was a young boy he wanted to become a dentist. He fell in love with technology and ended up pursuing and obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
Prior to joining Sunset Dental Technologies in 2009, Karchevsky spent thirteen years working for a large multi-national corporation as an Enterprise Systems Architect, developing software. As a side business during that time, he started his own dental technology company, Data Dental, which he operated for five years.
On every project it is Karchevsky’s goal to transform dental technology from an expense to an asset. He likes people and enjoys challenges. Throughout every project, he takes pride in his straightforward can-do attitude.
Patrick Jacobwith – CEO
Patrick Jacobwith, who has more than 25 years of general business and practice management experience. Throughout his career, Patrick has played key roles in many successful operations but has always believed his greatest accomplishments stemmed from developing people.
